Ka-boom. This is called art revenge.
After a long disappearance due to finals, this is my first submissions in ages and the first thing I drew in a while.
Okay, so I wanted to come up with my own 'cute' pony style, do backgrounds in a theme that's like a children's book illustration type, (Whinnie the Pooh type, maybe? xD)
Perhaps this is my first best attempt in backgrounds. Though, just to be fair, I was inspired to do the moon and clouds from this awesome commission here
by the amazing and inspiring 
that moon...really inspired me. I loved it, and I tried to portray it my own way, along with the clouds. Doing that improved my skills. I love to learn from other artists, though just to be fair I just had to credit what inspired me :3
So, here's Snowsilk, in an illustration trotting around the forest in the night, with her magic
What do you guys think?? I need comments on this one, because I'm planning to draw more pictures in this illustration style, so I need all the advice I can get!

This is interesting and awesome! Let me just pat down why I think so.
The movement and action (happening) in the piece is alive. It's not just standing still like a dead fish. Not to mention the great composition. I really also like the traditional touch you gave it especially the moon. It's a really nice balance between traditional texture and digital position.
Truth be told I'm not an expert in colours (yet) but as far as I can tell you used some very warm colours with the yellow for example. Now I really couldn't be sure of this but snow silk has some very cold colours with her pale blue legs and that stripe in her head. I really does works here but keep it in mind anyway for future pieces ^^
All in all I adore this amazing piece and I'm already off to the next one.
