Ain Alhassoud

...This is going to a really complicated description to explain the inspiration behind him, please hold. >_>;

I was tempted to come up with a new Coastal baddie, who's an Entity...and after being struck by inspiration, he came to be >u>

He's a nasty Entity who roamed 'lived' among Coastals since ancient times. His name, is 'Ain Alhassoud'. (Ain > 'Eye' / (Al)Hassoud > '(The) envious one/the one who 'gives' the evil eye'). All in all his name generally refers to the 'Evil Eye', known in many beliefs to be a force that emanates when someone is taken aback or astonished by certain possessions, usually resulting in a destructive or damaging effect. It doesn't have to be done with dark intentions or jealousy, some people just cause it. (It's like the reason why people 'knock on wood' XD)

Anyways...that was a background. The ideas that I have so far for this Entity aren't that much, but I'm still thinking. First of all, I made him old (such surprise, wow very wrinkles) to symbolize how old the 'evil eye' is in human history. I also decided to give the concept of jealous and envy that is sometimes associated by the evil eye, and that's by making him a greedy Entity who was a tendency to steal what he admires of humans' possessions. It's like you're looking for your keys, and you can't find them, where it seems like they disappeared...then you find it right in your face...except you won't find it reappearing in your face

A known folktale in the Coast makes him more of a local myth dating back from ancient times, about an old 'Sheikh' of a tribe in the far ends of the desert, who often takes things that he likes from people by force for his own satisfaction. This was actually a fact, because Ain, despite being an Entity, assumed an 'earthly' position among humans, and indeed seeming like an old sheikh. 

As for his part as the mischievous Entity he is, he'll probably be taking valuables (like, extremely valuable things) from people, where they grow so desperate that they end up seeking him. He would offer to return their possessions to them ONLY if they do things that would seem impossible, and putting them in very difficult situations >_>; nasty thing

...So yes, he's like the literal aspect of the evil eye, when associated with envy and jealousy xD

I tried to make him and the story to seem like something out of an old tale from 1001 Nights, so I hope he's interesting

I hope you can notice that his right eye actually looks like a bead of the eye symbol >u>

By the way, his headdress is a sad, SAD attempt to portray a shemagh print. ;_; I just wanted to make seem a bit more 'urban' and tribal, because he will be hanging around in the desert, in a tent, cast away from the modernized towns and cities >u>
